Delhi Firecrackers Ban: There will be a fine for bursting and buying firecrackers in Delhi
The Delhi government has again imposed a complete ban on the production, sale and use of all types of firecrackers till January. This ban by the government also includes the festivals of Diwali and Chhath, which have been followed in Delhi for the last two years.
Environment Minister Gopal Rai held a high-level meeting on Wednesday to prepare a plan to tackle air pollution in Delhi on Diwali. In this meeting, a strategy was prepared to deal with the air pollution on Diwali. During this, Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that there will be a fine of Rs 200 for bursting and buying firecrackers in the capital. Along with this, there will also be a jail term of 6 months.

The air level in the city gets very bad every year since Diwali. That is why the Delhi government is already busy in its preparations. Earlier, while talking to the media, Rai said, "Apart from the campaign to check dust pollution and sprinkling of Pusa Bio-Decomposer to curb stubble burning, we are working on a plan to control air pollution on Diwali. Will hold a high level meeting."
