Delhi Fire Dept Moves to Cancel IAS Coaching Centre’s NOC: On Monday, at Rau’s IAS coaching, three of the students died due to drowning in the flooded basement of the building. The Delhi Fire Department began the process of cancelling the No Objection Certificate (NOC). The basement was used as a library ‘illegally.’
“The building's NOC will be cancelled,” said The fire department.
Aspirants started to protest over the deaths of three IAS aspirants in Old Rajendra Nagar, they sat on the ground and demanded justice and compensation for the families. Delhi LG V K Saxena visited the site where aspirants were protesting and students shared their concerns with Saxena.

The aspirants were shouting "We want justice" and asked Sexsena to join the protest instead of standing behind the police barricade.
He promised the students that action would be taken against this incident, he said, “I promise no one will be spared… all those who are responsible will be punished. I am with you all… I need some time… I will come back whenever you all call me here.”

The library was located in the basement of the building where water from a flooded drain rushed inside the basement which caused the death of their student.
The identification of the deceases are Navin Dalwin from Kerala, Shreya Yadav from Uttar Pradesh and Tanya Soni from Telangana.
This incident took place because of poor drainage, lack of safety measures, and failure to follow rules and regulations. The person who is suspected for damaging the building’s gate, owners of the basement and seven more people have been arrested.

The Delhi Police has requested the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to provide information about any complaints that have been registered against the coaching institute or if there’s a complaint what action was taken against it.
“We may question MCD officials about desilting of drains and the clearance certificate issued by them to the Rau’s IAS Study Circle where three students died due to flooding of a basement being used as a library,” a senior police officer said.
MCD Mayor Shelly Oberoi called for an investigation into MCD officials involved in this incident.
On Sunday, because of the protest by aspirants demanding justice for the illegal use of basements, the MCD took action against it and sealed the basements of 13 other IAS coaching centres in Delhi.
Delhi minister Atishi asked for a magisterial inquiry and submitted a report within 24 hours from Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar.
