ED and CBI are constantly tightening their noose in the matter of Delhi Excise Policy. Today, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Raghav Magunta, son of YSRCP MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, in this case. Magunta's wires are suspected to be linked to this alleged scam.
Arrests in connection with money laundering investigation The Enforcement Directorate has arrested Raghav Magunta, son of YSR Congress Party MP from Ongole Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, in connection with its money laundering probe into alleged irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy case, officials said on Saturday.
According to information, Raghav Magunta was taken into custody on Friday evening under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The ED is likely to produce him before a local court, where the federal probe agency will seek his custody. This is the ninth arrest by the ED in this case and the third this week. The agency had earlier this week arrested Gautam Malhotra, son of former Punjab MLA Deep Malhotra, and Rajesh Joshi, director of an advertising company called Rath Productions Media Pvt Ltd. The ED had alleged that a cartel called 'South Group' of liquor retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers was formed as part of the now scrapped Delhi excise policy and the father-son duo was part of it.
