Defense Minister Rajnath Singh reaches Srinagar, will visit forward areas
He's on a 2-day visit to the UT. He will visit forward areas and interact with troops during his visit. He will also attend the 200th anniversary of Maharaja Gulab Singh Ji's 'Rajyabhishek Ceremony' in Jammu on 17th June.

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit the forward areas of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. Singh will begin his two-day visit to the Union Territory where he will interact with soldiers. On Friday, he will attend the 'coronation' of Maharaja Gulab Singh's 200th birth anniversary in Jammu. Gulab Singh Topa was the first Maharaja of the Rajput princely state and founded the Dogra dynasty in Jammu and Kashmir.
Taking to his Twitter, Singh wrote, "Tomorrow, 16th June, I would be in Jammu & Kashmir for a two-day visit. I shall be visiting forward areas and interacting with troops during my visit. Also, I shall attend the 200th anniversary of Maharaja Gulab Singh Ji’s ‘Rajyabhishek Ceremony’ in Jammu on 17th June, Friday."
According to sources, the Defense Minister will visit forward areas of the Baramulla and Kupwara sectors. After this, he will have a security review meeting with top security officials and then he will have a meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has reached Jammu and Kashmir on a two-day visit. On the first day, he will visit the LoC and take stock of the security arrangements. He will then attend the 200th coronation ceremony of Maharaja Gulab Singh.
