Deaf Driver Shares Heartwarming Moment with Deaf Passenger Using Sign Language

Another heartwarming clip posted online features a beautiful moment caught on a taxi, where a deaf taxi driver (who spoke using sign language) picked up a deaf passenger (who also spoke using sign language). The wholesome encounter caught on camera is going incredibly viral online.

The clip, which is out of China, has been picked up and shared by all sorts of users online! The clip shows a taxi driver sitting in the front of his taxi—the boy passenger enters the taxi and takes a seat. The taxi driver hands the boy the phone (presumably for the passenger to enter an OTP) and communicates something in sign language. The driver is shocked when he discovers the boy's reply is also in sign language.  What then ensues is a delightful exchange between the two of them with smiling and signing. Social media posts seem to all point out that both the driver and the passenger are deaf.

There has been a massively positive reaction on social media. One user wrote, “Just made my day.” Another said, “This is so wholesome.” A third commented, “God bless them.”

One user who claimed to understand the signing added, “Neither of them knew the other party was deaf. The driver had a difficult time locating the passenger, as he had to circle around. The passenger then explained he was deaf, and the driver responded that he was too. Initially, the passenger thought the driver was using sign language just to accommodate him. Then they both realized the situation.”

In yet another viral story, a recent viral video shows a lion walk up to a man sleeping on a street in India, sniff him, and walk away unharmed—again leaving the internet scratching its proverbial head, wondering “Real or AI?”
