Deadline to link PAN Card - Aadhaar Card has been extended by the Income Tax Department of India

The income Tax department mentioned that the last date for the Aadhaar Pan Card has been extended by 6 months.

The Income Tax of India has tweeted that " In view of the difficulties being faced by the taxpayers , the Central Govt has extended certain timelines.CBDT Notification number 113 of 2021 in S.O. 3814(E) dated 17th September, 2021 issued which is available on the official website" .

It has been mentioned in the official notice that the Time limit for intimation of Aadhaar number to the Income Tax Department for linking of PAN with Aadhaar has been extended from 30th September to 31st March ,2022

The Due date for completion of penalty proceedings under the act has also been extended from 30th September 2021 to 31st March 2022.

This is the fourth time the govt has extended the last date for linking the two identification documents.

If the PAN card is not linked with the Aadhaar card , it will not be valid.
