TMC Chief and Bengal CM gave some major announcements today, such s Cabinet Expansion happening on Wednesday and that seven new districts will be formed in the state of West Bengal.

West Bengal cabinet will be expanded on Wednesday. A few days after the removal of former minister Partha Chatterjee, CM Mamta Banerjee said this on Monday. She announced today that there will be a cabinet reshuffle in the state on Wednesday, with four to five new faces. He said, "We have lost ministers, Subrata Mukherjee, and Sadhan Pandey. Parth is in jail so it is not possible for me to handle all his work alone. In such a situation, new faces are needed."
The former state minister Partha Chatterjee, who was at the center of the multi-crore school recruitment scam in West Bengal, and his close aide have been arrested by the ED. Here, after the arrest, the Mamta government came into controversy. Seeing a growing controversy, the Chief Minister removed him from other party posts including the cabinet. Now he has talked about reshuffling in the cabinet.
She also announced the creation of 7 new districts in Bengal for greater administrative efficiency. The 7 new districts include - Sundarban, Ichamati, Ranaghat, Bishnupur, Jangipur, Berhampore, and one more in Basirhat, which will be announced soon.
On being asked if anyone had conspired against Chatterjee, she said, "You will know when the time comes." Later on, leaving the hospital, Chatterjee once again said that the money was not his and that he had "Never been involved in such transactions." According to ED officials, around Rs, 50 crores in cash has been recovered from two apartments of Arpita Mukherjee, considered close to Chatterjee. Along with this, gold was also recovered, the value of which is being assessed.
Chatterjee was relieved of his duties as a minister in charge of various departments and suspended from the party on Thursday. He has also been removed from all party posts.
