COVID19 Update: 15,447 new covid cases found in India in the 24 hours

The latest figures of corona infection even on Wednesday are scary. According to the data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare, 16,906 new cases of corona were reported in India in the last 24 hours and 15,447 have been cured. During this, 45 people died due to the corona infected.

Information has been shared by the ministry that if we talk about the active cases of corona in the country, then this number is 132457. It is a matter of concern that the positivity rate has increased by 3.68 percent. India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed ₹199 crore (1,99,00,59,536) as of 7 am today as of last report. This achievement has been achieved through 2,61,19,579 vaccination sessions. The COVID-19 vaccination for the 12-14 age group started on March 16, 2022. So far, more than 3.75 crore (3,75,56,269) adolescents have been administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Similarly precaution dosage for 18-59 age group was also started on 10th April, 2022.

Active cases are also increasing continuously in the country. The ministry said that 15,447 people have recovered from Corona in the last 24 hours.
