COVID19 Alert: Corona figures scare the country, appeal to people to be alert

There may be a weekend curfew in the capital Delhi, but together with other states of the country, the cases of new infection have crossed 1 lakh 41 thousand on Saturday. On Saturday morning, it has been said by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare that within the last 24 hours, 1,41,986 new cases of corona virus infection have been reported in the country, while 285 people have died. Apart from this, the number of patients who have been cured of corona virus in the last one day is 40,895.

Active patients in the country have increased to 4,72,169 due to the decrease in the number of patients recovering as compared to the daily cases of corona virus.

The cases of Omicron, the new variant of the corona virus, have increased to 3071 in the country. The Health Ministry said that out of the total patients infected with Omicron, 1203 patients have been cured. On Friday, 17,335 new cases of corona virus have been recorded in Delhi, which is the highest number after May 8 last year. With this, the daily positivity rate of corona virus in Delhi increased to 17.73 percent.
