Covid 19 Update : More than 20 thousand new cases of Covid in India for the second consecutive day
The bulletin said that 16,499 samples were tested a day earlier. On Thursday, 520 cases of infection were reported in Delhi and one patient died. The bulletin said that at present 2,010 patients of Covid are under treatment in Delhi.

In the last 24 hours, 20,044 cases of corona virus have been registered in India. While 56 people have died in this period. According to the data released by the government, the current active cases in India are 1,40,760. 18,301 have been cured in the last 24 hours.The recovery rate has been recorded at 98.48%. A total of 4,17,895 tests of corona have been done in the last 24 hours. Whereas under the nationwide vaccination campaign, 199.71 crore vaccine doses have been given so far.
On Friday, 601 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Delhi and the rate of infection was recorded at 3.64 percent. According to the Health Department, no one died due to the Covid-19 epidemic in the last one day. So far 19,43,026 cases of infection have been reported in the national capital and 26,289 patients have died.
At the same time, amid concerns about the emergence of a more infectious form of the corona virus, penetrating immunity and increasing hospitalization rates, World Health Organization (WHO) Chief Scientist Soumya Swaminathan cautioned to prepare for new waves of Covid-19. There is continuing evidence that subforms of Omicron - BA.4 and BA.5 - are also infecting people who have been vaccinated. Swaminathan tweeted on Thursday, "We must be prepared for new waves of Covid-19. Each form of the virus will be more infectious and immune-penetrating. With more people getting infected, the number of sick and hospitalized patients will increase. All countries should have a plan to deal with the emerging situation on the basis of data.
