Covid-19 Update: India logs 11,692 new cases, 28 deaths in single day

Covid-19 Update: India on Friday recorded fresh 11,692 Covid-19 cases, taking the number of active infections to 66,170 with 28 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, according to Union health Ministry. The death toll has increased to 5,31,258 with 28 deaths, which includes 9 reconciled by Kerala, the data updated at 8 am on Friday stated.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 5.46 while the weekly positivity rate was pegged at 5.32. The total tally of Covid cases is at 4.48 crore (4,48,08,022).

The active cases now comprise 0.15 per cent of the total infections while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.67, according to the ministry website. fatality rate was recorded at 1.18.

11,692 new cases in 24 hours

For the last few days, the country is once again witnessing a spurt in the Covid cases. As compared to yesterday, marginal decline has been recorded in the daily cases in the country on Saturday. Today 11,692 new cases have been reported in the country. During this, 28 deaths have been reported due to Covid infection. Earlier on Thursday, 12,591 new cases were reported in the country while 40 people died. A decline of 899 Covid cases has been registered in the new daily case in the last 24 hours.
