Covid-19 unlock- Schools to resume for classes 1 to 5 in Karnataka
The government ordered the educational institutions to make sure strict adherence to Covid-19 appropriate behavior and SOPs issued by the Department of Primary and Secondary Education.

The Karnataka government declared the reopening of schools for classes 1 to 5 in the state from 25th October on Monday. The decision was taken given the consistent decline in the number of daily Covid cases, test positivity rate, and an overall decline in active cases. The government ordered the educational institutions to make sure strict adherence to Covid-19 appropriate behavior and SOPs issued by the Department of Primary and Secondary Education.
The classrooms and restrooms will be disinfected daily using 1% Sodium Hypochlorite solution. Only the teachers and staff who have got both doses of Covid vaccination will be allowed in classes 1 to 5th standard. There shall be additional use of face shields by teachers who are over 50 years of age.
The government has allowed the swimming pools to operate under specific conditions. It has ceased operations at the airports for international arrivals. SPO2 routine checks will discontinue except in cases where passengers are having fever, cough, and cold.
