The gathering of five or more people will not be allowed anywhere in the state even during the day.
Schools and colleges, as announced earlier, will remain closed till February 15. Apart from this, the state government has now asked private offices to operate at 50% capacity.
According to the order issued, restaurants, shopping malls and auditoriums have also been asked to function at half capacity while gyms, beauty salons will remain closed.
Only people fully vaccinated will be allowed in cinema halls and auditoriums.
A maximum of 50 people are allowed in marriages or social and other functions, while the maximum number of people attending the funeral is 20.
The new corona restrictions have been imposed when the daily caseload of the state is increasing continuously. On Saturday, January 8, 41,434 fresh cases were reported. The number of Omicron cases in the state crossed 1,000 with 133 new Omicron cases. The state's Omicron tally is now 1,009.
