Covid 19 : After 8 months, new cases crossed 10,000 in the country, active cases reached 45,000

After 7 months and 20 days, new cases of corona have crossed 10 thousand in the country. In the last 24 hours, 10,158 new cases of corona have been reported. Earlier on August 24, there were 10,725 cases. This is the second consecutive day when there has been an increase of more than two thousand in new cases. There were 5,676 cases on Monday, while 7,830 cases were reported on Tuesday.

With this, the active cases in the country have increased to 44,998. Earlier on September 10, 45,365 people were undergoing treatment in the country.

Corona in the last phase in the country

Corona in India is now in its final stages. For the next 10 to 12 days, more cases will increase, then after that they will start decreasing. At present even though the cases are increasing but the number of admitted patients in the hospital is less, it is expected to be the same in future also.

This information has been received from official sources of news agency PTI on Wednesday. According to the information, the current increase in Covid cases is due to XBB.1.16, which is a sub-variant of Omicron. In February this year, the cases of XBB.1.16 were 21.6%, which has now increased to 35.8% in March.

Masks made mandatory at school, office, railway station in Lucknow

Corona cases are also increasing rapidly in Uttar Pradesh. After 7 months in Lucknow, 97 positive cases have been found in one day on Wednesday. After this, the administration issued a new Corona guideline. In this, masks have been made mandatory at schools, offices, hospitals, railway stations, airports and public places.

In UP on Wednesday, 446 new patients appeared in 24 hours. At the same time, 149 patients have been cured. With this the number of active cases reached 1791. The positivity rate is 1.63%. Most patients are in the capital Lucknow. After September-2022, 97 cases have been reported in the capital.

Due to increasing corona in the state, CM Yogi held a meeting with senior officials at Lok Bhawan. He reviewed the mock drill on Corona on Tuesday. Officers have been instructed to be prepared to deal with any situation.
