The Covid pandemic is once again sweeping its feet across the country with the numbers going up rapidly. A few states like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and New Delhi are witnessing the most numbers. The maximum number of cases are being found in Delhi. In the last 24 hours, 1,042 new cases have been registered here, while two patients have also died. During this 757 people have also been cured. The number of active cases in the state has gone up to 3,253 with a positivity rate of 4.64%.
The state government on Friday issued an order making it mandatory to wear masks in public places. Failure to do so will result in a fine of Rs 500. However, there will be no penalty for not wearing a mask while traveling in a private car.
The Delhi government has issued a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to prevent the spread of Kovid-19 in schools. According to the SOP, quarantine rooms will be made available in schools. Apart from this, teachers will ask their students and their family members about the symptoms related to Covid every day.
