Country's longest expressway ready in 3 years, challan will be made if the speed of the car is above 120km / h

The country's longest Purvanchal Expressway is ready. It connects Chand Sarai village near Gosainganj in Lucknow district with Hedaria village located on NH-31 in Ghazipur district. The length of this 6 lane expressway is 340.8 km. It has been developed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA). Its work started in October 2018, that is, it took 3 years to get ready.

If you are passing on this expressway then you should be aware of the rules related to expressway. How fast can I drive on the expressway? What is the penalty for over speeding? How is the speed of your vehicle monitored? We are here to answer all these questions for you...

There are similar rules regarding the speed of trains running on the National Expressway and Expressway in the country. At the same time, the rules regarding the speed of the National Highway are slightly different. A maximum speed limit of 100km/h has been fixed for a car on National Highways, while it is 120km/h on Expressways or National Expressways.

Speed limits are different for two-wheelers and heavy vehicles on expressways and highways. The speed limit for two-wheelers on highways and expressways is 80km/h. At the same time, the speed limit for heavy vehicles like buses and trucks is up to 100km/h. During winter, the speed limit is reduced due to fog or haze. This is for a limited time.

Such CCTV cameras have been installed on all the expressways of the country which keep an eye on the speed of the vehicle. As soon as the speed of the vehicle exceeds the prescribed limit, it gets captured in the camera. The speed of the train is ascertained from the time taken by you to reach from one toll to another. With this, the vehicle is challaned at toll only. Although this challan is fixed, but according to the speed, it can be done more.
