Health Minister Mandaviya has said that the RT-PCR test has been made mandatory from January 1, 2023, for passengers coming from China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Singapore. These passengers will have to upload their reports on the Air Suvidha portal before travel.
Serum Institute will give 2 crore doses of Covishield to the central government free of cost. Here, the Serum Institute of India (SII) has asked the central government to give two crore doses of Covishield free of cost. Prakash Kumar Singh, director of government and regulatory affairs at SII, has written a letter to the health ministry on the matter. In the letter, he has talked about giving a free dose of Rs 410 crore.
The company has taken this decision amid the increase in corona cases in many countries including China. According to sources, Director Prakash Kumar asked the ministry through a letter how to deliver Covishield. Tell that under the SII vaccination program, more than 170 crore doses of Covishield have been given in India so far.
The Union Health Ministry has said that corona cases may increase in India in mid-January. After analyzing the past trends, it is believed that the next 40 days will be difficult for the country. According to sources, another wave of corona may come into the country. In such a situation, health facilities are being reviewed in all the states and union territories. In fact, it has been observed that the new wave reached India only 30 to 35 days after affecting East Asia. This has been a trend, on the basis of which this claim is being made.
