Shashi Tharoor, a Lok Sabha member, said only our comrades who voted on October 17 have to decide how this (fight against the BJP) can be done most effectively. He said this election is about how to best equip the Congress to take on the ruling government of today, which is the BJP. We have lost 2 elections. We need a fresh, strong Congress party where it can become an effective mechanism to deal with this challenge.
On his remarks, Kharge said that he and Tharoor have to fight together against the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Kharge also said that he and Tharoor have to work together against issues like inflation, unemployment as well as against the ideology of BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
