Congress MP Chaudhary Santokh Singh dies of heart attack during Bharat Jodo Yatra in Punjab
The body of MP Chaudhary Santokh Singh is being brought to his New Vijay Nagar residence in Jalandhar city. He became MP for the second time. Earlier, he had also served as a minister in the cabinet of Rajinder Kaur Bhattal and Harcharan Singh Brar in the Congress government from 1992 to 1997, representing Phillaur assembly seat.

Congress MP from Jalandhar Chaudhary Santokh Singh passed away on Saturday morning during Bharat Jodo Yatra in Phillaur, Punjab. He was walking in Rahul Gandhi's visit, when suddenly his health deteriorated, after which he was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
He fell due to the shock, after which he reached a private hospital for treatment, where he died. The doctor told that he had suffered a heart attack. At the same time, information is coming from Rahul Gandhi to stop the Bharat Jodo Yatra due to his death. It is being told that Rahul Gandhi has left for his Jalandhar home.
MP Chaudhary Santokh Singh was brought to Phagwara's Virk Hospital after his health deteriorated. According to Dr. Jasjit Virk, when he was brought to the hospital, he had already died. He told that when he was brought to the hospital, a team of doctors was also with him. While bringing him to the hospital, the team of doctors tried their best to save him.
