Congress is on the path of insanity: Amit Shah on PM’s security lapse
The Union Home Minister Amit Shah has launched a scathing attack on the Congress Party and said that despite repeated defeats, it is on the path of insanity.
The lapse in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security has snowballed into a huge controversy. Both the political parties – the ruling BJP and the Congress – have been voicing their opinion on the said issue.
While the BJP has accused the Punjab government of being completely indifferent to PM’s security, the Congress has defended itself saying that there is no lapse of any kind.
The Union Home Minister Amit Shah has launched a scathing attack on the Congress Party and said that despite repeated defeats, it is on the path of insanity. Shah tweeted and said that Congress should apologise to the people of this country for what they have done.
The Union Home Minister in a tweet said, "Today's Congress-made happening in Punjab is a trailer of how this party thinks and functions. Repeated rejections by the people have taken them to the path of insanity. The topmost echelons of the Congress owe an apology to the people of India for what they have done.”
BJP leader and Cabinet Minister Smriti Irani also condemned the state government of Punjab for security breach and raised many questions.
"Those in the Congress who hate Modi, today tried to threaten PM's security. Was the security breach deliberately called false? Those who compromised PM's security, who planted them there? Who planted them so close to the PM's car?" She said while talking to reporters.
She alleged that it has never happened in the history of India that a state government deliberately created a situation that cause a serious threat to the life of the Prime Minister.
