Cold wave expected in Delhi-NCR from tomorrow, minus temperature in many cities of Rajasthan
According to an IMD official, large parts of north and northwest India recorded below normal maximum and minimum temperatures for most of the days this month before a western disturbance brought respite from the cold. This drop in maximum and minimum temperatures was due to a dense fog layer over the Indo-Gangetic plains for the last 10 to 11 days and a large gap between two western disturbances, which brought in colder than normal winds from the snow-capped mountains.

These days it is getting cold in North India. In many cities of Rajasthan, where the mercury has reached minus, the condition of people in Haryana and Punjab is also suffering due to cold. At the same time, there is a possibility of cold wave in Delhi-NCR from Monday and the minimum temperature will fall to about three degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a cold wave in Delhi-NCR between January 16 and January 18. In Ayanagar and Ridge areas, the minimum temperature can remain around three degrees Celsius on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The official of the Meteorological Department said that there is a lot of moisture in the Indo-Gangetic plains due to the large number of water bodies and rivers in the region. Once the Western Disturbance retreats, cold northwesterly winds will start blowing towards the plains.
