The removal of two Coca-Cola bottles by Cristiano Ronaldo at a press briefing at Euro 2021 has led to a $4 billion drop in the beverages giant's stock price.

During a press briefing in Budapest on Monday, the 36-year-old placed the Coca-Cola bottles away from him, right before his country's Group F match against Hungary.

Despite the fact that Coca-Cola is one of the sponsors of Euro 2020, Ronaldo did not hesitate to send a strong message, urging everyone to 'drink water' instead. The value of Coca-brand Cola's was wiped out by a staggering 4 billion dollars as a result of such a recommendation by the worldwide football sensation.

Ronaldo drove home his message of not consuming carbonated drinks by picking up a bottle of water and asserting 'agua,' which is Portuguese for 'water.' The Portugal captain is a well-known fitness freak who has expressed his disapproval of carbonated soft drinks.
