The price of CNG has been increased by Rs 2.20 per kg today. Now the rate of CNG in Pune has gone up to Rs 77.20 per kg. These increased prices have been implemented from today itself. Earlier on April 6, April 13 and April 18, the prices of CNG were increased.
In the month of April, the state government had reduced VAT on natural gas from 13 per cent to 3 per cent, as a result of which the price of CNG came down to Rs 62 per kg with came into effect from April 1, however, after that the prices were increased four times in a row.Due to the ever increasing prices, it is being said that the rates of additive gas are increasing in the global market. It is used to make CNG. Hence the price of CNG is also increasing.
Earlier in India, CNG was purchased from Qatar, Muscat and other Arab countries at the rate of $ 20 per cylinder. But after the start of the Russo-Ukraine war, their prices are under pressure and they are increasing continuously. The reason for this is being told that many European countries have now started taking gas from Arab countries at the rate of $ 40 per cylinder, which is double from $ 20.
This is getting very expensive for the Indian dealers, due to which the prices of CNG are increasing very much. It is being told that in the coming days, CNG will reach more than Rs 80 per kg.
