Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called the Bharatiya Janata Party's huge victory in the Gujarat assembly elections and in UP's Rampur as an expression of public affection for the Prime Minister's development, security and good governance. On the other hand, expressing happiness over BJP's victory for the first time in Rampur assembly by-election, expressed gratitude to party workers and public-Janardan.

This time in western Uttar Pradesh, the magic of UP chief and BJP's fire brand leader Yogi Adityanath did not work. The BJP lost the Khatauli Assembly seat here to RLD's Madan Bhaiya. From here BJP had given ticket to Rajkumari. Madan Bhaiya has defeated BJP candidate Rajkumari Saini in this seat by about 23 thousand votes.
