Cloudburst: CM reached ground zero, took stock of damage from JCB, said, will take help of army if needed
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the help of the army would be taken if needed for relief, rescue, and restoration of connectivity in the disaster-affected areas.

The government is in touch with the army. Instructions have been given to make alternate routes in the areas where connectivity has been broken. State helicopters have also been put on hold for the disaster-affected areas.
The Chief Minister was interacting with the media while inspecting the disaster-affected areas of Thano, Kumalda, and its surroundings. Reaching ground zero in the disaster-affected area on Saturday morning, he inspected the spot riding a JCB. On the occasion, he directed Commissioner Garhwal Sushil Kumar and Tehri District Magistrate Dr. Saurabh Gaharwar to take the people of the disaster-affected area to safer places. Adequate arrangements should be made for food and other essential materials for them.
He asked the officials to make arrangements for alternate routes for movement on the blocked routes. Instructions were given that in the areas where the supply of drinking water and electricity was disrupted, proper arrangements for electricity and drinking water should be made in those areas at the earliest.
CM inspected the damaged bridge on Thana Marg. He directed the PWD officials to make alternate arrangements at the earliest to make the traffic smooth. After an on-site inspection, the CM took stock of the situation arising out of the disaster in the Disaster Management Control Room in the Secretariat. The Chief Minister reviewed the situation with the Secretary of Disaster Management as well as other high officials related to the disaster.
