Lakshya Sen, who defeated Malaysia's Ng Tje Yong in the semi-finals, defeated world champion Loh Keen Yew of Singapore 24-22, 21-17 in the final to clinch the India Open Men's Singles title.
The number one Indian pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty defeated Indonesia's Mohammad Ehsan and Hendra Setiawan in the men's doubles final. The Indian pair defeated the top seeded Indonesian pair 21-16, 26-24 in a match that lasted 43 minutes.
This is the first time in the history of Indian Open that an Indian pair has won a doubles title. At the same time, the pair of Chirag and Satwik won the title of a Super 500 tournament for only the second time. Earlier, the pair had won the Thailand Open Super 500 tournament in the year 2019.
