A few days back, China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) was accused of kidnapping a teenager from Arunachal Pradesh. However, now the PLA on Sunday has stated to the Indian Army that they have "found a boy" in their territory, across Arunachal Pradesh, and will hand him over soon. This happened days after an MP from Arunachal claimed that a teenager was abducted by PLA personnel. The identity of the boy is not yet confirmed by the PLA and it is believed that the person is Miram Taron, who was allegedly abducted on January 18 from Upper Siang district of the state.
Immediately after the MP tweeted about the incident, the Indian Army reassured that they have sought assistance from the Chinese Army to get the teenager boy back. The PLA has stated that they are following the procedure to send the boy back to the Indian territory.
It was the allegedly abducted Miram Taron’s friend named Johny who informed the concrete authorities about the alleged kidnapping by the Chinese Army. Both are local hunters belonging to Zido village.
