Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday announced the name of Chandigarh airport after freedom fighter Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Sharing his views in the 93rd episode of 'Mann Ki Baat', the Prime Minister also informed that a task force is monitoring the African cheetahs brought to the Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh and based on its report, it will be decided whether the general public will be able to visit these places. When will you be able to see cheetahs? PM Modi said, 'Just before the birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh, an important decision has been taken as a tribute to him. It has been decided that the Chandigarh airport will now be named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
Congratulating the people of Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana, the Prime Minister said that it was long awaited. Sardar Bhagat Singh's birth anniversary is celebrated on 28 September.
PM Modi said, 'A task force has been formed. This task force will monitor the cheetahs. It will be seen how much these cheetahs have been able to mix in the environment here. Based on this, a decision will be taken after a few months and then you will be able to see the cheetahs.
