The Center has written a letter to five major states on Friday amid concerns about rising corona cases in the country. The Center has written a letter asking it to maintain a strict vigil on the cases of Corona and take pre-action if necessary. According to news agency ANI, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan in his letter told the states that strict vigil will have to be kept on the increasing cases of corona.

The Union Health Secretary has written to the Principal Secretaries (Health) of Telangana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu expressing serious concern over the rising numbers. For the last several days, cases of corona are increasing in these states.

In the letter, he mentioned that there has been a continuous and significant decline in the number of corona cases in India in the last three months. However, there is a slight jump in the cases. 15,708 new infections were reported in a week on May 27, which increased to 21,055 in the week ended June 3.

The Center has expressed concern over the increase in corona cases in six districts of Maharashtra. The Mumbai suburb has recorded the highest number of 2,330 Covid cases this week.
