Retired Colonel Vijay Rawat, brother of late CDS General Bipin Rawat, joined the BJP on Wednesday. It is being told that he might contest elections from Uttarakhand.

Retired Colonel Vijay Rawat, brother of late CDS General Bipin Rawat, joined the BJP on Wednesday. It is being told that he might contest elections from Uttarakhand. Vijay Rawat met Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in the morning. After this it was said that ideology matches with BJP and if the party said then I will contest elections also.
BJP President JP Nadda said on Wednesday that in Uttar Pradesh, the party will fight the elections in alliance with Apna Dal and Nishad Party. Nadda said that an agreement has been reached on the seats with the allies. NDA will contest 403 seats in UP. Apna Dal chief Anupriya Patel said that only a joint alliance led to the formation of a strong government in the country and the state. Uttar Pradesh grew at a rapid pace.
The BJP on Wednesday released the list of its 30 star campaigners for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. These include the names of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Rajnath Singh, Yogi Adityanath and Hema Malini. In view of the threat of Corona, the Election Commission has banned rallies and meetings in the election states till January 22. Earlier this ban was till January 15, which was extended to January 22 after review.
