This report prima facie reveals violations of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) Act, 1991, Business Transactions Rules-1993, Delhi Excise Act, 2009 and Delhi Excise Rules, 2010. The new Excise Policy 2021-22 was implemented from November 17 last year, under which retail licenses were given to private entities bidding for 849 contracts in the city divided into 32 divisions.

CBI raids Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia's house, Sisodia said 'being implicated in false allegations'

CBI raids are going on at 21 places including the house of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. Manish Sisodia has claimed this by tweeting. At the same time, he has said that we welcome the CBI. It is unfortunate to disturb the one who does good.

He tweeted and wrote, "We welcome the CBI. We will give full cooperation in the investigation so that the truth can come out soon. So far, many cases have been filed against me but nothing has come out. Nothing will come out of this too. Good education in the country." For my work cannot be stopped."

Along with this, he alleged that he is being implicated on false charges. He tweeted that, "These people are upset with the excellent work of Delhi's education and health. That's why we have arrested the Health Minister and Education Minister of Delhi to stop the good work of education health. Both of us have false allegations. Court. The truth will come out in me."

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has also attacked after the CBI raid on Manish Sisodia's house. He said that the CBI is welcome. We will cooperate fully. There have been many tests/raids in the past as well. Nothing came out. Still nothing will come out. He tweeted that, "The day the Delhi education model was praised and Manish Sisodia's picture printed on the front page of America's largest newspaper NYT, the same day the center sent CBI to Manish's house. Welcome CBI. Will cooperate fully. There have been many investigations/raids in the past as well. Nothing has come out. Even now nothing will come out."

It is worth noting that Delhi's Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena had recommended a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry for violation of rules and procedural lapses in the Excise Policy 2021-22 of the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led government. The recommendation for a CBI inquiry was made on the basis of the report submitted by the Chief Secretary of Delhi.
