CBI arrests 5 people in bribery case related to Tata Projects
According to a PTI report, the CBI was keeping an eye on Jha. Meanwhile, the probe agency got an input that Jha was taking bribes from officials of Tata Projects and other companies for various works. According to CBI officials, BS Jha is currently posted in Itanagar.
CBI is conducting raids at 11 locations in Delhi in connection with the bribery case related to Tata Projects. CBI has arrested 5 accused including Power Grid executive director BS Jha, Tata Power senior executive Deshraj Pathak, RN Singh. The team has recovered Rs 93 lakh from BS Jha's house.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested BS Jha, executive director of Power Grid Corporation of India, in connection with the bribery case related to Tata Projects. Apart from this, five officials, including the company's Executive Vice President Deshraj Pathak and Assistant Vice President RN Singh, have also been arrested. On Wednesday itself, the CBI had conducted a search operation in Ghaziabad, Noida, Gurugram and other places in connection with the alleged bribery case to give benefits to a private company. During this, cash worth Rs 93 lakh was recovered from BS Jha's Gurugram premises.
