Byju's cancels its decision to lay off 140 employees in Kerala
A statement issued by BYJU'S said, "After detailed discussions between Kerala Chief Minister P Vijayan and BYJU'S founder Byju Raveendran, we have decided to continue the operation of our TVM (Thiruvananthapuram) Product Development Centre.

After meeting Kerala CM P. Vijayan, learning app BYJU'S has changed its decision to lay off 140 employees and stop its services in Thiruvananthapur. This development has come to the fore after BYJU's employees in Thiruvananthapuram met Kerala Labor Minister V. Sivakutty and requested him to intervene in the matter. These employees had said that BYJU's has decided to close its Technopark office without any prior notice.
A statement issued by BYJU'S said, "After detailed discussions between Kerala Chief Minister P Vijayan and BYJU'S founder Byju Raveendran, we have decided to continue the operation of our TVM (Thiruvananthapuram) Product Development Centre. " The statement further read, “As a result, our 140 associates will continue to work from this centre. Byju Raveendran, himself from the state of Kerala, reiterates his commitment to the state and BYJU'S leadership team, under his guidance, development in the state. Will continue the strategy.
It is worth noting that some time ago there were reports in the media that BYJU'S wants to come into profit by reducing its marketing and operational costs, for which in the next 6 months, about 5 percent of BYJU's employees i.e. 2,500 people will be fired.
