By-elections in 7 assembly seats, BJP Wins 4: RJD in Bihar, TRS in Telangana and Uddhav's party in Maharashtra

BJP won 4 out 6 seats in the by-polls conducted in the state of Haryana, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar & Telangana, reaffirming what’s in the offing for 2024.

By-elections in 7 assembly seats, BJP Wins 4: RJD in Bihar, TRS in Telangana and Uddhav's party in Maharashtra

The results of the by-elections held in 7 assembly seats in 6 states of the country are out. BJP has won four of these seats. The BJP has won from Gola Gokarnath in Uttar Pradesh, Gopalganj in Bihar, Dhamnagar in Odisha and Adampur in Haryana. Overall, the BJP has gained two seats.

At the same time, Neelam Devi, the RJD candidate and wife of Bahubali Anant Singh, has won the Mokama seat in Bihar. TRS has won in Telangana and Uddhav's party has won in Maharashtra. Voting was held on November 3 in all the seats. Of the seven seats where by-elections were held, BJP and Congress had 2 seats each. At the same time, BJD, Shiv Sena, and RJD won three seats.

In the by-election to the Gokarnath seat of Lakhimpur Kheri, BJP candidate Aman Giri defeated Vinay Tiwari of SP by 34 thousand 298 votes. He has also broken his father Arvind Giri's record in terms of winning margin. In the last election, Arvind Giri defeated Vinay Tiwari of SP by 29 thousand 294 votes.
