Business News : Domestic stock market declines, Sensex falls 300 points
On Monday, all the indices of the market are seen trading in the red mark of decline. The shares of the IT sector fell the most by 1.03 per cent, while the real estate sector fell by 0.98 per cent. Consumer durables index has registered a decline of 0.45 per cent and metal sector shares have registered a decline of 0.73 per cent.
The stock market opened on the red mark on the first trading day of the week. On Monday, the Sensex opened at 61456 points with a fall of 207 points while the Nifty opened at 18246 points with a fall of 61 points. On Monday, trading started at the level of 42286 points with a fall of 150 points in Bank Nifty.
The market is under pressure in early trade. SGX Nifty has registered a decline of 95 points, it is currently trading at 18250 points. Dow futures are also under pressure. It has fallen by about 100 points. The weakness in the price of crude oil also remains. At present, the price of crude oil in the global market is $87 per barrel. Against the dollar, the rupee is trading at a level of Rs 81.84, down by 0.20 i.e. about 0.24 percent.
In the early trade of the market on Monday, the shares of Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, UltraTech Cement and Axis Bank are showing strength, while the shares of Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Finance, Dr Reddy and Tech Mahindra are trading with weakness.
