Business News : BharatPe CEO Suhail Sameer resigns, Nalin Negi will be the company's interim CEO

BharatPe CEO Suhail Sameer has resigned. Last year, Sameer came into the limelight after his rift with BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover. Sameer was handling the fintech company after Grover was accused of financial impropriety. Following his resignation, the company has said that the transition from CEO to strategic advisor will be effective from January 7, 2023. The company issued a statement saying that the current CFO Nalin Negi has been made the interim CEO of the company, who will ensure the functioning of the company during this transition.
Earlier, three other senior executives of the company, Chief Technology Officer Vijay Aggarwal, Postpay chief Nehul Malhotra and Loan and Consumer Products chief Rajat Jain had resigned from the company. At the same time, the company's revenue officer Nishit Sharma left the company in June. A few weeks ago, Ashneer Grover made some personal attacks on Sameer, due to which Grover and Sameer once again came into the limelight. Let us tell you that there is a dispute between BharatPe and Grover regarding financial irregularities, in which a case of fraud has also been filed by BharatPe.
Earlier,Suhail Sameer was the CEO of the FMCG group of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group. In August 2020, he was appointed as the President of BharatPe. It was at this time that Grover's entire focus was on acquiring the banking license by acquiring PMC Bank. In August 2021, Sameer took over as the CEO of BharatPe.
