Burj Khalifa Lights Up in India’s Tricolour to Celebrate 79th Independence Day | Watch Video

The Indians in the UAE come together to mark the 79 th Independence Day of India. To further add effect to the day, the tallest building in the world which is Burj Khalifa was observed glowing with the tricolours of the Indian flag.

In order to celebrate the event on August 15, the display of the tricolour used ceremonially will occur at 7:50 am (local time). According to the Gulf News, other landmarks in the UAE will also turn lights on in the Indian tricolour today.

The vision of Burj Khalifa with Mahatma Gandhi, tricolour and captions such as har ghar tiranga are going viral on video. A number of them get close to the tower and the patriotic zeal may be felt among the crowd. See the video here.

Moreover, the Indian embassies in the UAE arranged the ceremonies of the hoisting of the Indian national flag in the morning. Posting pictures on X, Consulate General of India, Dubai wrote, “Consul General Shri Satish Sivan hoisted the tricolor @cgidubai on the occasion of the 79th #IndependenceDayIndia???????? vibrant Indian Diaspora joined the celebrations and sang National Anthem with the spirit of patriotism."

Dubai Consulate General of India also lights up in the colours of the tricolour on Independence Day.

Satish Sivan greeted the Indian community overseas and Bolstered greetings on 79 th Independence Day. Through CGI there was also a colorful cultural program which presented us to the rich heritage of the nation.

The official festivities too will involve an exhibition of tribal art and special show on the efforts by India against terror.
