Budget 2023: 'PM Gati Shakti Yojana' will give a boost to the economy, the government had made a master plan in 2022
The budget said that the NIP would help increase productivity and accelerate economic growth and development. Under PM Gati Shakti, the National Highway network will be expanded up to 25 thousand km.

The central government is trying to speed up the country's economy with the 'PM Gati Shakti Yojana'. The objective of Gati Shakti Yojana is to reduce the cost of logistics, increase cargo handling capacity and reduce the time taken to send goods from one place to another. All the departments working for infrastructure have been brought together through 'PM Gati Shakti Yojana'. In last year's budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced the PM Gati Shakti Master Plan.
PM Gati Shakti Mission is a 100 lakh crore scheme. Through this, there is a plan to further strengthen the infrastructure sector. The National Master Plan (NIP) has referred to road, rail, airport, port, public transport, waterways and logistics infrastructure as the seven engines. This scheme has been brought to reduce the logistic cost. The Finance Minister had said that the Railways would build 100 Gati Shakti cargo terminals and these would be built in the next three years. The budget said that the NIP would help increase productivity and accelerate economic growth and development. Under PM Gati Shakti, the National Highway network will be expanded up to 25 thousand km.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey 2022-23 in Parliament on Tuesday, a day before the budget. It was said in the Economic Survey that schemes like PM Gati Shakti, National Logistics Policy and Production Linked Incentive Schemes will increase the economic momentum of the country.
