Budget 2023: 'Halwa ceremony' organized in the Finance Ministry before the budget
In the presence of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, a Halwa ceremony was organized at the Budget Press of the Finance Ministry, North Block on Thursday. It has been a tradition to celebrate Halwa ceremony before the budget. The Finance Minister was accompanied by the Minister of State for Finance, Secretaries of the Ministry of Finance along with senior officials.

To mark the commencement of printing of documents related to the Union Budget 2023-24, a 'Halwa Ceremony' was organized at the Ministry of Finance. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister of State for Finance Dr. Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, senior officials of the Ministry of Finance were present on the occasion.

On February 1, the Finance Minister will present the budget for the financial year 2023-24 in the Parliament. According to the Finance Ministry, like the last two years, this year also the budget will be presented completely in digital form without paper documents. According to the ministry, the Union Budget will be uploaded on the mobile app as soon as the Finance Minister's speech is completed. The name of this app is Union Budget Mobile App and it can be downloaded on both Android and Apple OS platforms.
