British MP's statement came on BBC documentary, said this in support of PM Modi
Bob Blackman said, "As far as I'm concerned, I've been a very long-time supporter of Overseas Friends of BJP. I see the BJP as a natural ally for the Conservative Party in Britain. The Conservative Party in the United Kingdom and the BJP in India, It's a friendship we value."

The controversy over the BBC documentary has been going on for several days. Now the statement of the MP of the British Government has come to the fore on this whole issue. Ruling Conservative Party leader Bob Blackman said the so-called documentary which looks more like a propaganda video, attacking Narendra Modi as CM and then PM is a shameful example of shoddy journalism. It should never have been broadcast by the BBC.
Bob Blackman further stated that the documentary was produced by an outside organization under the supervision of the BBC. It is far from the truth, while framing it did not look into the causes of Gujarat riots in detail and ignored the fact that the Supreme Court thoroughly examined all the claims against Modi and found no evidence to support the allegations. There isn't a single proof.
MP Blackman said that the BBC is not a part of the British government. I think this is deeply regrettable as it appears as if the BBC had an agenda to sabotage UK-India relations. The one thing I agree with in this propaganda video was the last comment saying that Narendra Modi and the BJP government will probably be re-elected to power next time and the time after that.
