Brijbhushan Saran Singh will talk to the media at the Annual General Meeting of WFI
Many big wrestlers including Vinesh, Bajrang, Sakshi, Ravi and Deepak are sitting on dharna at Delhi's Jantar Mantar against WFI and its president Brij Bhushan Saran Singh since Wednesday. Wrestlers today wrote to Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President PT Usha over complaints of 'sexual harassment' against WFI President Brij Bhushan Saran Singh. In a letter to the IOA president, the star wrestlers have accused the WFI president of sexual harassment and financial irregularities.

Wrestling Federation India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Saran Singh's press conference in the evening has been cancelled. Earlier today the timing of the conference was changed three times. Earlier the timing of the conference was 12 noon, then it was changed to 4 pm and then to 6 pm. In the end the conference was cancelled.
Prateek Bhushan Singh, son of WFI chief Brij Bhushan Saran Singh, said in a statement, “We are not formally authorized to speak anything on this issue. He (Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh) will address the media on January 22 at the Annual General Meeting of WFI. We have given our official statement to the Sports Ministry."
Earlier, in a statement, the WFI chief compared the wrestlers' protest to the Shaheen Bagh sit-in, adding that there is a conspiracy by the Congress in the whole matter.
Speaking to the media, he said, “The protest of the wrestlers against me is the protest at Shaheen Bagh. The protesting players have become a toy in the hands of Congress and Deepender Hooda. This kind of conspiracy against me was done by the Congress about three decades ago. Once again the plot is repeated. I had said earlier that there was a conspiracy and there are bigger forces behind it. Now those forces are coming out openly. The picture has become more clear with the tweets and statements of Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Deepender Hooda. This attack is not only on me, but through me on the Bharatiya Janata Party.
