Breaking News : 7 killed in helicopter crash, President Draupadi Murmu expressed grief

A helicopter has crashed in Kedarnath. Seven people including the pilot have died in the accident. President Draupadi Murmu has also expressed grief over the accident. The PMO has also expressed grief over the accident.

CEO Yukada C Ravi Shankar informed that the accident happened at 11:40 am on Tuesday. Among the dead, three passengers are from Gujarat, one from Karnataka and one from Jharkhand. Pilot is a resident of Mumbai. Information about one deceased is being collected.

The incident of the crash of the helicopter carrying the pilgrims in Kedarnath is very sad. I express my condolences to the families of all those who lost their lives in this accident. May God give them the strength to bear this grief.

केदारनाथ में हुई हेलीकॉप्टर दुर्घटना में श्रद्धालुओं के हताहत होने का समाचार सुनकर स्तब्ध हूँ।

The helicopter is being told of Aryan Company. SDRF and NDRF teams are engaged in the rescue. DIG SDRF Riddhima Agarwal told that the SDRF team from Kedarnath has reached the spot. The team is reaching from Lincholi.

This is not the first incident of a helicopter crash in Kedarnath. During the Kedarnath disaster of 2013, three helicopters including the Mi-17 helicopter of the Air Force had crashed while doing the rescue. 23 people lost their lives in these accidents.
