BPSC result: 16 Jamia Millia RCA students pass the exam.
The Jamia Millia Islamia RCA offers free coaching and a hostel to 200 applicants from minorities, SCs, STs, and women (from all communities) who are preparing for civil service (preliminary-cum-main) and state service exams.
The BPSC 64th combined competitive test results were released on Sunday by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) (CCE). Sixteen students from the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) have passed the 64th Combined Competitive Exam of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) (CCE). Girls account for six of the successful students.
SDM, DSP, Revenue Officer, Commercial Tax Officer, District Audit Officer, Assistant Director Social Welfare Department, and other positions in Bihar would be available to the selected candidates. Last year, 12 students from RCA, JMI, were selected for the 63rd BPSC Combined Competitive Exam (CCE).
Prof. Najma Akhtar, JMI Vice-Chancellor, congratulated the successful candidates and the Jamia community. Despite the numerous challenges posed by the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak, she stated that JMI responded admirably.
Four RCA, JMI students, was recently selected for the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). Sanchita Sharma, who took first place, was a Jamia RCA student as well.
"It is a matter of great honor for the university that even in the pandemic, the RCA is producing so many civil servants. It is highest amongst all the public coaching centers run by various institutions, and we expect that it will improve further.", VC affirmed.
It is worth noting that 43 RCA, JMI students passed the UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam-2020. These students will now be interviewed and put through a personality test in July/August 2021, PRO told in the press release.
Among those who have cleared the exam is Aman Kumar. Twenty-seven years ago, Aman had given a speech during an event organized to celebrate the victory of Nitish Kumar as Samata Party MP from Barh Lok Sabha constituency. At that time, he was in class 2, and now after securing the 161st rank in BPSC 64th CCE result, he will be working with the Bihar government.
