BJPs ship rocks in Tornado: After Sonali Guha, 3 More turncoat TMC Leaders request Didi for 'pardon'
Citizens of Asansol are requesting the TMC chief to not let Jiterdra Tiwari to rejoin TMC.
Will Mamata pardon these turncoats?
Quick in the footsteps of TMC turncoat MLA Sonali Guha, who had joined BJP just before the 2021 Assembly Elections, and has sought Mamata Banerjee’s ‘forgiveness’ and a ‘strong’ desire to work for people by being a ‘worker’ of TMC, three more political leaders who had joined BJP appealed for her forgiveness.
Malda Zila Parishad member and a leader who had major following amongst the lower castes, Sarala Murmu, has recently said that she has realised her ‘mistake’.
“It was a mistake for me to join BJP. Now when the CM has appealed to defectors to return, I want to come back,” sources attribute Sarla Murmu to this statement.
Jitendra Tiwari, ex-Mayor of Asansol, who recently lost Pandabeshwar Assembly seat on BJP ticket has been heard singing paeans to Mamata Di and has been working hard behind the curtain to be re-admitted to TMC.
Citizens of Asansol are up in arms against the much perceived corrupt ex-mayor. They are requesting the TMC chief to not let him ‘in’ at any cost. Maybe that is the reason that Tiwari is not giving any public statements on his quest to rejoin TMC.
North Dinajpur’s Itahar’s MLA Amol Acharya has also said recently that he is leaving BJP because of the uncalled for CBI actions on TMC leaders.
“I have always considered Mamata Banerjee my leader. But I never thought I would be denied a nomination. I was upset and joined BJP. It was a mistake. Now, the BJP’s vindictive politics against leaders like Subrata Mukherjee, Firhad Hakim and others is exposed. I’ve written a letter of apology to the CM. I hope they will forgive me,” Acharya said according to news reports.
Sonali Guha, less than a week back wrote to Mamata Banerjee, apologising to her and urging her to take her back. “I am writing this with a broken heart that I took the wrong decision of joining another party after being emotional. I could not get accustomed there," she writes.
“The way a fish cannot stay out of the water, I will not be able to live without you, ‘Didi’. I seek your forgiveness and if you don’t forgive me, I won’t be able to live. Please allow me to come back, and spend the rest of my life in your affection," she added in her letter which she her herself shared on social media.
Apart from these 4 major leaders whose statements have been picked by media – sources in the party claim that more than 2 dozen recent turncoats including atleast 10 MLAs who had switched their allegiance to BJP are in the process to get ‘pardoned’ by Mamata.
The Ship really seems to be rocking within a month of results beings announced in West Bengal for BJP.
