Bharatiya Janata Party will perform the best it has ever in south India, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Thursday.

Shah Claims Best Performance In South India: Amit Shah, who is running for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Gujarat's Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, held a roadshow in Sanand town on Thursday morning.
Shah greeted people and BJP workers along the route - from the APMC Chowk to Nalsarovar Chowk - standing on a specially designed vehicle.
Amit Shah in a post on X said, "Today I will appeal to my brothers and sisters of Gandhinagar Lok Sabha Constituency to make BJP victorious and give their blessings to Modi ji so that he becomes Prime Minister once again to make the country No. 1 in every sector and to make Gandhinagar one of the most developed Lok Sabha constituencies in the country."
In the afternoon, Shah addressed a rally in the Vejalpur area of Ahmedabad after holding three roadshows in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.
On a roadshow in Ahmedabad, Amit Shah, the BJP candidate from Gandhinagar, spoke to PTI.
Asserting that this time, the Bharatiya Janata Party will perform the best it has ever in south India, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Thursday.
"The atmosphere in the country indicates we will get more than 400 seats. This will be the best performance for the BJP so far in south India," Shah said, claiming the party will win all 26 seats in Gujarat by large margins.
Voting in Gujarat for the 26 Lok Sabha seats will commence in a single phase of the Lok Sabha polls on May 7.
