BJP MP Tejasvi Surya unconditionally withdraw his stand on 'Hindu Revival in Bharat'
The video clip of his speech has been making rounds on social media and received strong condemnation from people of various walks of life.
The BJP leader from Karnataka, Tejasvi Surya, has said in a tweet that he has withdrawn his statement on the revival of Hindus which he had made two days ago in a function in Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt.
The 31-year old BJP MP from South Bangalore informed his stand in a tweet, which said, "At a program held in Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt two days ago, I spoke on the subject of 'Hindu Revival in Bharat'. Certain statements from my speech have regrettably created an avoidable controversy. I therefore unconditionally withdraw the statements."
The video clip of his speech has been making rounds on social media and received strong condemnation from people of various walks of life.
In his speech, he said that those people who have left their mother religion should be brought back to it. In the video clip, he can be seen saying, “The Hindu has been taken out from his mother religion. There is only one possible solution...there is only one solution to address this anomaly.
He further said, "Those people who have left their mother religion and have for various socio-political, economic reasons over the course of India's history, those who have gone out of the Hindu fold, must be brought back in whole, brought back into the Hindu faith, brought back to the mother faith.”
Recently, Hindu seers have also courted controversy after they made inflammatory speeches in Haridwar in a gettogether which received wide condemnation from everywhere.
