The National Commission for Women has taken cognizance of the indecent remarks made by Congress leader Ajay against Union Minister Smriti Irani. The commission has fixed a hearing in the matter and sent a notice to Ajay Rai to appear on December 28 at 12 noon.

BJP's IT cell chief Amit Malviya has once again targeted Rahul Gandhi. On Tuesday, he tweeted that if Rahul Gandhi is a strong leader, then he should contest from Amethi in 2024. Malviya further said that Rahul Gandhi should not hide behind leaders like Ajay Rai. Apart from this, Malviya said that Rahul Gandhi should contest from only one seat. Significantly, while tweeting, he also asked the question whether Rahul is ready for this challenge?
While talking to reporters at the Shahi Palace in Robertsganj on Monday, Congress leader Ajay Rai said sarcastically, 'Smriti Irani comes to Amethi only to show 'latke-jhatke'. Ajay Rai had said, 'Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kashmir to Kanyakumari is getting support from every section. It has become clear from this that only Rahul Gandhi will be the next PM of the country. The BJP has attacked the Congress over Ajay Rai's indecent remarks.
After the comment made by Ajay Rai, Smriti Irani also hit back and said, 'It is not a matter of our sanskar to make indecent comments towards women, it can be a matter of their sanskar. If the Gandhi family likes foul language then why would any Congressman who uses foul language apologise. Significantly, the National Commission for Women has taken cognizance of the indecent remarks made by Congress leader Ajay against Union Minister Smriti Irani. The commission has fixed a hearing in the matter and sent a notice to Ajay Rai to appear on December 28 at 12 noon.
