Bihar News : Sonia Gandhi asks Lalu Yadav and Nitish Kumar to meet again after the election of Congress President
After meeting Sonia Gandhi, Lalu Yadav said that we talked about further strengthening the unity of the opposition in this meeting. Lalu Yadav said that there can be no alliance without Congress. We will defeat BJP in the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024 only by leading the Congress.

Sonia Gandhi asked RJD supremo Lalu Yadav and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to meet again after the election of Congress President. Lalu Yadav and Nitish Kumar had arrived to meet Sonia Gandhi on Sunday evening. After this meeting, Sonia Gandhi urged both the leaders to meet them once again after the completion of the process of election for the post of Congress President. So that there can be talk on how to further strengthen the opposition unity.
After meeting Sonia Gandhi, Lalu Yadav said that we talked about further strengthening the unity of the opposition in this meeting. Lalu Yadav said that there can be no alliance without Congress. We will defeat BJP in the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024 only by leading the Congress.
Lalu Yadav spoke to reporters after the meeting. He said that we have sent the BJP out of Bihar. Now it is his turn to leave the country. He said that if the country has to be saved, the BJP has to be removed. For that we all have to come together. We have had talks with Sonia Gandhi. They have asked us to meet again after 10-12 days after the Congress party got a new president.
The meeting at 10 Janpath residence of Sonia Gandhi is considered very important to strengthen opposition unity. It is also being seen as an attempt to resolve differences between the Congress and some regional parties. This is Nitish Kumar's first meeting with Sonia Gandhi after breaking ties with the BJP and joining hands with the RJD-Congress to form a new government in Bihar in August.
