Big relief to Imran Khan, Islamabad High Court stays his arrest

Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan has got a big relief. His arrest has been stayed by the Islamabad High Court in Pakistan. Imran Khan has got this relief till August 25. After the decision of the court, they can no longer be arrested by the authorities under the Anti Terror Act. Earlier, the sword of arrest was hanging on him. Earlier, security was tightened outside the house of former Pakistan PM Imran Khan.

Significantly, former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has been booked under anti-terrorism charges. According to sources, there was a possibility of his arrest soon. This action was taken after Imran Khan had threatened government institutions and officials of Pakistan while addressing a rally in Islamabad on Saturday.

Imran Khan had openly threatened senior police officers, a woman judge, state institutions and bureaucrats over the behavior of PTI leader Shahbaz Gill during his public speech at Islamabad's F-9 Park on Saturday. Imran Khan has been booked under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA). Apart from this, a case has also been registered against him for challenging judicial and law enforcement officers, which comes under Sector 7 of the Terrorism Act.

Imran Khan had openly threatened the woman judge of dire consequences, saying, "Jeba be ready, we will take action against you." An FIR was registered against Imran Khan for these statements and he has been booked under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
