In Punjab, the budget for school and higher education was increased by 16 percent. There was an increase of 47 percent in the technical education budget and 57 percent in the medical education budget. It was also announced that estate managers would be appointed for the maintenance of schools in Punjab. Estate managers will be appointed in the government schools of Punjab so that the principal can focus only on the work related to education.
